This is a quick bit of information In 2.1 that i picked up during the live feed:

Dragoon jump time and damage will be increased, and you can move immediately after the jump.

BLM being able to cast flare is considered to be a bug, and should be fixed.

Crystal tower will drop i80 gear and vanity items.

Vanity slots will appear in 2.2

No restrictions to enter Crystal Tower like Coil. There's some sort of ticket you have to get, then you can enter. Once you've gone in, you can get another ticket and go again.

There is really nothing too interesting from Crystal Tower for Coil players other than Vanity gear, but you can collect i80 gear for other classes where you dont have Coil gear yet.

In Crystal Tower, there will be 3 alliances of 8 to make 24 players. When you get a treasure chest, there will be 3 that spawn, each party will get 1, and the loot will split between the members of each alliance/party. Supposedly at least half of each party will get items each run.

Currently you cannot get into Crystal Tower with 24 FC members. You create one party of 8 and basically DF into Crystal Tower with two other parties of 8 that used the DF (this is being looked into in a future patch so that you can go in with 24 FC members)

Crystal Tower will have alliance and party chats.

There will also be 3 paths in Crystal Tower, so the 3 groups will need to split up and complete tasks to complete the Crystal Tower.

AOE's from healers will hit all 24 members in Crystal Tower, so you can easily heal other alliance members.

You will get the same Tomestones from CT as everywhere else, but they may add new ones later.

Eureka from FF3 is planned to be added at a later date, and it will supposedly be an exact replica.

There will be more storage spaces in your retainer, but only for vanity items.

Sort options will be available in your inventory.

That is the patch title for 2.1. A Realm Awoken

Barber price is 2000 gil.

At the barber you can change: face paint, hair, face paint color, beard, tattoos, and eye color may be a possibility at some point. (They were talking about "reality" so i doubt you'll be able to change race, skin color, body size, etc…)

There will be new hairstyles, and more in every patch after.

The Moggle Mog boss is coming, and it is made to be a little harder than Garuda Hard Mode. For this boss fight, there's lots of moogles, each a different job. They summon the king moogle. As before, he has i80 weapons (costumes in a future patch)

Leviathan should be in 2.2, and Ramuh and Shiva in 2.3 (They are for Lv50 so i wouldnt expect any level cap increases soon)

Moggle Mog will have Easy and Hard modes. Others will have easy, normal, and hard modes (i'm assuming Ramuh and Shiva, but maybe all primals?)

(A lot of the discussion is pointing that they are trying to fill the gaps with 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3 with i80 gear, the missing primals, 24 man raids, etc… before adding more end-game content)

They showed the Leviathan shield, Leviathan bow, and looked like a two handed axe. All 3 pretty awesome!! But not for patch 2.1

Looks like there will be exp, gil, and tomestone bonuses from using the DF once per day. You also get an addiitional bonus for joining as a missing job (i'm assuming they mean joining a party in progress).

From what i can gather, it seems these changes are implemented to make dungeon's better exp than fates.

Pharos Sirius (New dungeon?) shown on the Duty Roulette high level dungeon slide

"Since you cant get exp at Lv50 you'll get more tomestones"

"For main scenario by helping players you can get bonuses"

Voting to kick players "is coming" for dungeons.

Allagan gear iLevel will be increased from i90 to i95. This was mentioned when talking about weapons so not sure if this is just weapons (came from a question about how common relic weapons are)

Most Impressive Player (MIP) Commendations, where at the end of a dungeon, you can choose somebody who you felt was the most helpful. This will give achievements. Looks like 10, 50, 100, and 500 commendations. So far only achievements are possible from MIP's but they are looking into more rewards.

Penalties will become more harsh for leaving a dungeon party early.

MIP's can only be used when joining the duty finder solo

Looks like you can choose a random dungeon, and it will literally pick any dungeon

Haukke and Copperbell dungeons will now have a hard mode with different routes and bosses, it should be quite different, but i60 (tomestones will drop here). There will also be housing related items that you can get only from these places.

Since routes on some dungeons are now different, there will be a party recruitement feature added to the DF so you can tailor your DF group to what your looking for in the dungeon (as far as path, etc.. not loot).

Dhorme Chimera, Hydra, and Coil will not be added to the DF, but they are planning to add Chimera and Hydra to the DF, but not Coil.

Pharos Sirius is a 4 man dungeon, with i60 gear drops. Its meant to be the first dungeon you enter once you get full AF. The main story took you to the Isles of Umbra but left the story there open, this will pick up on that in the quest to unlock it.

Extreme mode primals follow the story right after Titan HM. The recommended gear is i70 (DL). They showed videos and i can safely say.. I would love it if i could avoid these fights forever………………………………………………………………… They are everything you hated, and then some!

Extreme primals will drop i90 weapons for each job

Extreme primals are available via the DF (gl winning those…. ugg)

The items from hard mode primals like Garuda's Feather are materials for housing. In patch 2.1 these will drop much more often. SELL THEM WHILE THEIR EXPENSIVE! =)

Patch 2.1 is planned to be released on December 17th, 2013. Its already 4 weeks delayed but they are trying to ensure its not delayed any longer.

I was too.. It was depressing hearing that… But they are working on changing that, which is a good thing!

I think it might actually be kinda difficult from a programming stand point.

I think it might boil down to potentially a complete rewrite of the DutyFinder code to handle it, depending on how its written, or a update to how parties form (party leader inviting party leaders to a Full Raid vs. individual people?).

I actually have more concerns with how full the screen will get with 24 people on the screen. I'd like to be able to see the boss I'm fighting while I'm healing them.

Anyone know if there is any plans for SE to open up their UI interface? It might be a good excuse to learn Lua.

Well when your in CT, you will be in there with all 24 people, but there are points where there will be 3 paths and the 3 parties have to split up. So yes, there will be boss fights with all 24 people on it at once.

As for the programming, i agree 50%. I've been programming for almost 20 years now (personally), and from my experiences, it all depends on how its coded that would determine whether it would be a complete rewrite of the DF code, or just an addition to the code. My bet is that it would be an addition to the code, but one that takes an extensive amount of time, which in the business world, time is money…

I was disappointed in the non-alliance feature as well. Hopefully they add those soon in the future.. Sad we can't raid with our fellow FCers.

I am interested in what they specifically mean with the Flare change. I really hope they don't mean taking away the fast cast from Astral Ice III > Fire III > (insert fire spell here for fast cast). They way they reference it, it sounds like its Astral Ice III > Flare > Flare rotation that has been coming up (you get a tick of mana making back to back flares possible). So either they nerf the secondary spell receiving the speed buff (which kinda sucks because its part of other rotations) or they might take the Astral Fire III effect from Flare. I hope its the ladder.

Well, I am going to be hitting Extreme modes hard with FC peeps for that ilvl 90 weapon.. that's for sure! Save me 900 myth for gear right there!

Overall it looks like we'll have a lot more variety at endgame at least. I'm glad there is no lockout on CT. I'm a little scared to rely on 16 other strangers for our success though…

Please do not blindly depend SE stupidity. There is no differnce between coding it to accept 8 than there is for 24man. It boils down to they dont want to make people feel preasured to get 23 more members to see all the content or just to lazy to adjust a variable in the code. Which i can understand that. But not to give us the option is down right fucking lazy,

on the plus side we finally got information about the barber shop and the vanity slots thats pretty damn cool

I wasn't talking about stupidity on the form of SE. For all I know, how a groups follow the Composite pattern and all it takes is making an "Alliance" composite that accepts up to 3 "Full Party" composites, after adding a method to the "Full Party" composite to "Create Alliance" code.

Oh, and I'm also totally stoked for the vanity slots. Do wish we could re-color more gear though.

Well, never expected SE to drop the ball so heavily for CT. No idea how they found this to be an acceptable method, and so much for everyone working so hard to get 3 full groups so we can finally play together in raid content. Fuck you SE, fuck you very much.

But I can say at least i'm excited they are adding a ton of new content, won't be much for our mains, but alts are going to get some serious lovin.
